ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Artificial intelligence the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs. The term intelligence is the subject of both scientific and philosophical debate. The science of artificial intelligence dates back to ancient history when Greek philosophers created calculating machines and talking heads. Over the years, artificial intelligence has come through with many advances. Artificial intelligence can be found in nearly every aspect of human life today. Video games, computers, appliances, automobiles, telephones, robots, and medical equipment, in some capacity or another artificial intelligence is being used in the creation and/or operation of these devices. Computers are programmed to recognize speech, which can eliminate the keyboard and mouse, if you choose. Computers can also understand natural language when it is provided with an understanding of the domain the text is about. Heuristic classification is one feasible kind of expert system that allows information to be input in one of a fixed category using several sources. Determining whether a credit card purchase should be accepted is one example of heuristic classification.
Artificial intelligence research is highly technical and specialized, deeply divided into subfields that often fail to communicate with each other. The central problems with artificial intelligence include such traits as reasoning, knowledge, planning, learning, communication, perception and the ability to move and manipulate objects. Strong Artificial Intelligence is still a long-term goal of some researchers. Mechanical or formal reasoning has been developed by philosophers and mathematicians since antiquity. The study of logic led directly to the invention of the programmable digital electronic computer, based on the work of mathematician Alan Turing and others. Turing’s theory of computation suggested that a machine, by shuffling symbols as simple...
