Student’s A reading skills based on the miscue analysis summary form is reading at grade level 6. The student is in the 5th grade; however I started the student with word list level 2. The student missed one word in level 2, one word in level 3, and 1 word in level 5. The student also read level 4 and level passages without any mistakes. When the student read reading passage 6 the student mispronounced two words which place the student at reading level 6. The student does read at a fast pace, I believe if the student would have read at a slower pace she would have not missed those two words. Based on the miscue analysis form the student could benefit from fluency lessons, because I believe the student mispronounced the words because of reading too fast.

Book reviews is an activity that I would use in the classroom as well. This activity helps students to put their own ideas into words about books they...
