I was born in Oswego Kansas in October of 1965; to Edward and Beatrice Rowton, I came into a family with 7 other children at that present time My family moved several times to many places, and several states, I didn’t quite recall, but I learned of many years later. Some of the states were Washington, California, Utah and Wyoming. My parents moved to Idaho when I was three, two more children were born to our family, they were twins. That increased my family to 10 children then our family moved to Ocean Park Washington, which I vaguely remember. We lived there until I was 5 or so years old, then we moved yet again. Our destination was not Idaho; however, we were passing through when our family car, a station wagon caught on fire. Besides the task of removing 10 children my father disconnected the trailer before the car blew up. The local sheriff dept had our travel trailer towed to Emmett, my father landed a job here and we were able to get into a home and we have resided in Emmett ever since. We moved numerous times but we always stayed in the area. I was living on my own at the age of 14; I worked various jobs and lived with my sister. I didn’t know it at the time but the boy I had a crush on would end up being my husband someday. Well I married the love of my life when I was 16. He attended college our second year of marriage, times were rough. I recall working in packing sheds and doing whatever odd job to help bring in money I had quit school a few years ago I always wanted to go back and my husband encouraged me to get my G.E.D.I went to school at B.S.U. and became valedictorian of my graduating class. My husband was extremely proud sitting in the front row.
