Worst Job Ever
I am currently employed at the prominent fast food chain, Burger King. Every day that I have to walk into there, I do it counting all the minutes it will take before I get to leave. Burger King has to be the worst place I have ever worked at. I have worked at construction sites, doing carpentry and painting, and I have done work cleaning condos but, those jobs seem like cake compared to the crap you have to put up with at Burger King. The food and the management are all part of what makes that place so horrible.
Every time I come in to work, I clock in and find my appointed station for the day. Everything seems to be running smoothly for about the first couple hours I’m there, but after that something always seems to go wrong. Running out of supplies is one of the biggest problems, especially when the managers don’t even know that we were low on supplies. Orders have to be cancelled, food has to be thrown away, and we cooks get in trouble for a lot of it. Another problem that’s due to bad management is when there are more people at work than there is work to be done. There has been occasions were people have been getting paid to sit in the break room while others are working because the schedules where messed up. All this has caused fights before between former employees and is still a problem today.
Burger King might be a restaurant, but I would not call what is served there food. Every time I’m at work I get the dishonor of making whatever the customers order. I don’t, however, get the chance to show them how much grease goes into the food that they are eating. The sandwiches might taste alright when they’re warm, but have you ever seen one cold? Or even worse, one that has been let to sit in its own grease for a few hours? After seeing stuff like that, I quit eating at fast food places altogether.
