Batteries are used all throughout the world in everyday activities. Batteries can be used for a car, to turn on a light, or as simple as opening a door. We use batteries a lot in every day life. The bad thing about some batteries is that they play a major role in the cause of global warming. The reason why some batteries aren’t recyclable is that some have a plastic covering called cadium and it is a very toxic plastic, and most batteries don’t use this plastic but some do.
Alkaline AA batteries sometimes aren’t really AA batteries some of them are just a small AAA like battery wrapped in a thick plastic covering so that they look like AA batteries, but you can tell the difference because alkaline batteries are much lighter and they give off a lot less power and a lot less battery life. Another problem with alkaline batteries is that when you are finished using them they sometimes have leakage and the acid from the batteries gets inside the flashlight or any other item you are using batteries for and this will cause a shortage in the item. Alkaline batteries are the best for you to use because they are not toxic and they provide a pretty good life span. Also they are usually only good if you aren’t using the rechargeable type because they are good the first time people use them, but the power in the battery starts to diminish after a few uses until the battery has no more power
