I woke up in hospital, my mind was all fuzzy and I couldn’t remember what I had done to have gotten myself here. Mum was asleep on one of the visitors chairs, she looked like she had not slept in days. I wasn’t sure if I should wake her or not but decided I needed to know what happened. “Mum, are you awake?” She moved a little so I called her name again, she answered “oh Tash are you okay? I’ve been so worried about you for the past 3days, don’t ever do this to me again, oh are you feeling okay?”. Then when I came to think about it I felt like total shit my head was hurting my whole body was in pain, I started to cry I didn’t know what to do. Has it really been 3 days? What was the date? “Mum what happened?” She looked up to me and I don’t think I have never seen my mum look at me with so much pain in her eyes.
Two months before. I was a ordinary fourteen year old in year 8, had always had good grades and never did stuff like the “cool group”. At school if you wanted to be in the cool group you had to do things.. Things like egg houses, steal things from the shopping hall and smoking. I was never into that stuff and wanted nothing to do with it, but one day while I was sitting with a few of my “UN cool” friends, Bec Smith (like the coolest girl in the school) was walking up to me and said “ Hay, your Tash right? Your in my English class? Well anyway my friends and I have decide that you have pertentiol, and yeah we want you to come hang out this week end, my address is 89 Park St. come at 6pm and bring money. Ciao then”
Was she just talking to me I couldn’t believe it, all the girls were so surprise with what had just happened. Should I go or not? My best friend Amy said I shouldn’t go and that they are just trouble. Later that afternoon I was walking home from school, I couldn’t stop thinking about Bec and how she wanted ME to come hang out.
