Chapter 1
I was awoken from my sleep by a slap on my cheek…..it was my dad (HATE HIM) “wake up you good for nothing!” “I’m awake you don’t need to slap me!” “Shut up or I’ll”…………. “You’ll what.”
“What’s happening, why all the shouting?” asked mom with an anxious face. “What’s your business; I can do whatever I want to do to her because I never asked for any useless child.” “Anyway I’m running late for work, is she following me or not?” “Don’t worry I will take her” said mum. “If I had any wish it will be that I never see you and her ever again” said dad tacking his coat and slamming the door behind him. “Why do you have to put up with that dim wit?” I asked rubbing my red cheeks “I’m doing it for you Tara ‘because you’re the only thing that makes me happy in this world; O my gosh look at your face its RED !, if only I could get a job of my own we wouldn’t have to put up with that…… don’t worry Tara we will leave soon.”
“Don’t worry I’ll hide it in school today, just let me get dressed I’ll walk to school I don’t want to stress you I can already see that your eyes are ………………..alright what happened yesterday night.” “Nothing, I’m alright; ok I asked him if we could pay for after school lessons he shouted on me started saying that money doesn’t grow on trees but I said that you should have a sound education and then he got angry and beat me up, don’t worry it is going to be all right sweetie”
“Ok if you say so Bye!” “Bye Tara.”
Looking for where to sit I noticed Tyler Thompson (MAJOR HOOTIE) looking at me in a strange but funny way.
