Fitting in
A famous poet once said “kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” I remember when I blind-folded myself just to see how it is like to be blind, and to see for how long I can survive without seeing the world. I remember what I felt like when I closed my ears trying not to hear a thing, and when I pretended to be paralyzed. Yes, it was silly of me to do all of these experiments, but I knew how it was for me to survive without seeing or hearing or even without moving. Being disabled is very tough; the disabled face a lot of challenges. People with disabilities should never give up on life no matter how tough their disability is, especially when they have love and support from the family and help from the government.
Care and support from the family are two main factors that help the disabled to face life. All children need love encouragement and support. Family members are to give the social and emotional tools for their disabled member to work through challenges. Most of the world knows about this story about a boy who was paralyzed but could draw with his left foot. Because of the love and support from his family he was able to accomplish his dream. Positive reinforcement is the emotional tool that can help ensure that the disabled emerge with a strong sense felling, confidence, and the determination to keep going even when things are though. The way parents behave and respond to challenges has a big impact on their child. A good attitude won’t solve the problems, but it can give their child hope and confidence that things can improve and that he or she will eventually succeed.
If a family member wasn’t able to help or to support the disabled, the government can help financially. The government can help the disabled in a lot of ways. They can send someone to stay with them, and by doing that the government would be helping the disabled by getting up in the morning, by eating and by getting dressed. The government...
