Beowulf was a very strong, powerful, and well talented leader. He would kill all the monsters, and win so many battles and live to talk about it like it was an every day job. When you here the Anglo-Saxons stories and their myths, you could just about see Beowulf in your head. Beowulf was a fighter that led an army that fought off all sorts of evil. The Anglo-Saxons stories were very much of the same sort. The Anglo-Saxon stories saw Beowulf, to be a protector of a treasure. He had god-like power. He was strong, wise, and a great warrior. He killed so many enemies, and he had a trophy hall for all the battles he won. He had a lot of stories just like Anglo-Saxons stories.
To compare him with a modern day hero I would have to say superman. My reason being is because superman had un-natural, out of this world strength. When you here the stories and when you read it, I cant help but compare him to superman. They both fought off evil, and no matter how big the other opponent was he was still the victor. My only contrasts would be that Beowulf was strong but he couldn’t fly, laser vision, and he was as fast. But if he had those powers then superman would have a run for his money trying to beat him. Then again only thing Beowulf would need is kryptonite and superman is useless.
