Gina D. B. Clemen was born in San Francisco, California. She grew up in North Beach, San Francisco`s unique multiethnic neighbourhood when the Beat Generation was changing America`s way of thinking. She identifies herself as a `free-thinker`.
After getting her degree at San Francisco State University. she taught English at Grace Ball College, and published her first poems with Idlewild Publishers. Following a wonderful experience in Italy she decided to settle in Rapallo where she now resides with her husband and daughter.
Gina is a well-known author and speaker in the educational and ESL-EFL fields, where she has written over thirty original books for children and young adults and has adapted over fifty of the classics.
