Bill Gates vs Steve Jobs

Technology drives the world in which we live today. No two men have made greater advances in technology as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs the co founders of Microsoft and Apple, respectively. These men revolutionized the world of computers and with their contributions, changed the way people viewed and used these electronic marvels.
Although well known rivals in the software industry, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have a considerable amount of similarities in regards to their background and start up of their companies. Both men were born in 1955 and were college drop outs. After dropping out of college, both Gates and Jobs teamed up with a good friend to pursue their ideas and goals of developing their individual companies. After a lot of hard work, the two new companies were founded in the mid 1970’s and have continued to innovate and change the technology industry ever since. A difference in the two teams is that whereas Bill Gates was one of the two technological geniuses behind the development of Microsoft Software Company, Steve Jobs was actually more of the marketing aspect of Apple. Steve’s cofounder Steve Wozniak was the technological genius of the two (“Steven Wozniak”).
Both men have been a huge success in the software business for some time; however the approach taken by each seems drastically different. Gates is a master of diversification and developing software that can join together existing technology to improve on its overall applications. Jobs, on the other hand, focuses his attention on stunning the world and putting us in control of technology we only dreamed of.
