Question on The Blitz : Does source D support evidence of sources B and C about damage done during air raids

Damage cause by air raids is evident in both sources D and source B though in different ways. Source D is a street scene, where two men seem to be arguing around personal property scattered in disarray in the foreground. The man facing the camera and the man with his back to the camera have aggressive stances. A lady witnessing this incident is leaning against a wall on one leg and appears unconcerned. The people behind them are in an orderly queue and do not seem to have noticed this squabble. This is suggestive of fragmentation in community relationships. In the back ground of the same photo, structural damage to a building is also seen. Part of the shell of this building standing precariously and rubble is strewn below. In source B the damage is in the form very young lives lost due to the bombing. The uniformed people consisting of three men and two women in the centre are attending to body bags with a lone figure on the right looking on. Though no dead body is seen everyone looks grim and sombre. The damage here is more personal and emotional and more importantly at the time of war, to the morale. The differences between sources D and B are that in the former there is visible damage to buildings and property without any evidence of death or dying. In the latter there is evidence of death but there is only minor destruction of property or belongings. Source D is a street scene and B is in a school compound.

Like source D, source C also shows damage. In the latter, damage is shown by bomb-wrecked terraced houses in the back ground and stacked up bedding and furniture under an open sky. There is no evidence of direct damage to human lives in either source. Differences exist between sources D and C. In the former the feeling for comradeship is distinctly lacking with people either arguing or being indifferent. In...
