Nothing beats the bond that brothers and sisters have with each other. The bond itself is virtually unbreakable. However, this special relationship can also be one of the most frustrating and maddening relationships one will ever experience. Brothers share a special bond because they are able to be completely infuriated with each other at one point, and then thirty seconds later carry on as if nothing had ever happened. I have a younger brother, and yes we are always fighting. However the fights tend to blow over quickly. A brother-to-brother fight usually ends up in a physical confrontation. The fights my brother and I have are always more physical. We’ve been in slap-box matches and full-blown fist fights. We’ve fought in the privacy of our own house, as well as in our front yard on display for all of our neighbors (much to our mother’s displeasure). This one particular time my brother and I got into a fight the day before a family portrait was about to take place. The fight started when my brother and I got into an argument about whose favorite baseball player was better. You have to understand that we were nine (me) and seven (my brother) at the time, so these types of fights are bound to happen. He had the nerve to say Alex Rodriguez was better than Ken Griffey Jr. (can you believe it?). I couldn’t let that statement go unpunished so I shoved him into the wall of our bedroom. Then we jumped on top of each other rolling around into several different pieces of furniture in our room. We both ended up with matching black eyes over our left eyes. As we hit each other in the face, I could taste the thick, warm, salty, blood run down from my nose into my mouth. The sound of our balled up fists smacking against each other’s faces echoed throughout the room. Being overcome with joy after cracking each other in the head quickly diminished the instant sting that overcame our knuckles. As a result of the fight, my brother had received a bloody nose...
