Brainstorming Worksheet
Purpose: Use this worksheet to brainstorm and reflect upon two significant, uplifting, positive experiences/events that had a profound impact on your life. Consider events from your childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, etc.

Life Event 1 (The birth of my son):*

In one paragraph, explain why this event was significant to you.*
When I was a little girl, I would play house with my friends and cousins. I would always be the mother and tell them what to do. My role was acting like I’m cooking, cleaning, shopping, and going to work. That’s what mothers just to do. So I have always wanted to be a mother not just a young age. At the age sixteen I gave birth to eight pound baby boy. I experience a lot during my pregnancy like emotional, loneliness, and depression.
In a second paragraph, describe how you felt after the experience. *
After having my son I felt like I was mature. I felt that it’s not all about me anymore; I had someone that needs me. I was blessed with another baby boy eight years later. Now I’m a proud mother of two boys eighteen and nine. It has been a long rough past for us but we made it through.
Life Event 2 (Receiving my GED):*

In one paragraph, explain why this event was significant to you.*
No one on my mother side of the family has a high school diploma or a GED. Me and my two brothers didn’t graduate or have a GED either. When I move out of my with my son at the age of eighteen I started taking GED class and always stop them. I have made eight attempts to finish but never did. I started going online at Contential Academy and got a high school diploma...
