Barak Obama
When you think of America, what first comes to mind? The land of the free or maybe even the land of opportunity. The best word to describe America is diversity perfect example of diversity is the U.S. just recently electing the first African-American president ever. America, moving from slavery to having an African-American president, shows that racism is slowly disappearing. Barak Obama is an amazing individual; he has made history, has a great foundation of faith, and has presented a simple plan for our ever decreasing economy.
In my opinion Barak Obama is the most unique president that the United States has ever had. Barak Obama shattered more than 200 years of predominantly white history when he was elected president. This election was a historical event in the United States and even world wide. Being an African-American in the U.S. is hard, but to be the president is a whole new chapter. There are so many pressures on Barak Obama just because he is a different race. He will be judged harder because it hasn’t even been 50 years since the Civil Rights movement occurred. People are not over the racism and everybody will have very high expectations of him because he is black. Former President Bush was the record holder for the most votes ever, but records are made to be broken and Obama accomplished this. He also broke another record by raising 32 million dollars for his campaign within a month, which also has never been done before. Barak Obama is the most unique president the United States has ever had.
There have been many speculations on whether Barak Obama is a Muslim or a Christian. As time goes on, the evidence of Obama’s religion has become clearer. Barak Obama is a Christian, but has relatives that are Muslims, and that is where most people jump to conclusions that he is a Muslim.
