Brotherly Love

“There's no other love like the love for a brother. There's no other love like the love from a brother.”
This quote is just one expression of my affection for my little, but big, brother.
Everyone says that we are the closest siblings, and that because we are so close, we don’t even act like siblings. We act like, and definitely are, best friends. I know people say his a lot about the important people in their lives, but I honestly don’t know where I would be without my brother, Andrew.
I know that I somewhat have no control over this in the future, but I always say that when I have kids, I want a boy first and then a girl about a year or two later. I have always imagined it as the older brother protecting the little sister, and never letting anything bad happen to her. I was a little envious of the siblings like that. But looking upon my situation, I guess it’s not much different, other than me being the oldest instead of him. I call him my “little big brother”. There’s me 20 years old at 4’11” and then there’s Andrew 17, turning 18 in just about 2 weeks, at just about 6’ tall. We all feel that he was adopted because the rest of my family is shorter, like me.
Andrew has always been a huge inspiration to me and to very many other people as well. He has overcome so much in his life and I don’t think I will ever love anyone as much as I love my brother.
I have always been pretty jealous of him. He is very well liked by many people. In middle school he was involved in the school plays, always having the main part or something close to it. He was also involved in symphony, going on the districts, and practicing really hard to be at the top.
When high school came along, Andrew fit right in and made his own way through, meaning he immediately made friends, and from my personal viewpoint, he changed Assabet for the better.
