BUFC captures 1st place in Cavite Cup 2014

The Bacoor United Football Club (BUFC), composes of 11 St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) students, places in the Cavite Cup –Men’s Open at the University of Perpetual Help Molino Cmapus, September 14.
The participating team for this year’s competition are: Flame United Football Club, Raha Football Club, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta – Las Pinas Altas and Bacoor United Football Club.
In the first round, the first two matches against FUFC and the Altas was close enough resulting to a draw having the score of 1-1. For the last match of the round, RFC had a great defense preventing BUFC from scoring. RFC defeated BUFC with the score of 2-0.
The second round started with the match between FUFC and BUFC and it was a draw with the score of 1-1. Followed by the game against the UPHSD-LP Altas ending the intense game but either of the team have not able to score a goal.
The last match between BUFC and RFC was the key to the team’s triumph in getting the 1st place. Atoza Shinga made a goal by a free kick during the 8th minute of the game. It is then followed by Samuel Egbita, team captain, when he delivered a go ahead goal during the 10th minute of the game.
The football event concluded with the awarding ceremony. UPHSD-LP Altas ranks – 3rd Runner Up, RFC – 2nd Runner Up, BUFC – 1st Runner Up and FUFC reigns as the Champion of Cavite Cup-Men’s Football.
