Some people may not know what the difference between a for-profit and a non-profit organization, which we will discuss. A for-profit organization is when an organization’s primary goal is to make money. A non-profit organization is where the organization’s main goal is in helping the community and they are only concerned about the money to keep the organization going. I am glad that we have this assignment because this is something that I may be interested in doing in the future, that is opening a non-profit organization. The main thing is to have a real strong mission statement to support the organization.
I have chosen to open up a non-profit organization. My mission statement would be, We are the best provider in Ohio that are serving individuals with special needs. The goal of our organization is to serve our families with life enriching solutions. We also want to help in the development and the delivery of the needed services for the disabled in the community. Our values statement would be this; We want to deliver quality services to people and their families with the needs that would meet their disabilities. I believe that these are strong words and they do need supported.
It is important to support our mission statement and we would have to use our resources wisely to run the organization. With a non-profit organization the state is the one who helps with the funding of the organization. Also, there are donations that help too. As an organization, we need to use the funding diligently so that we can continue to provide quality programs to our clients. After saying all of this, we want the best quality of services for our clients while we are also achieving the highest standards of excellence for the organization.
