The cool and refreshing air conditioning hits the skin of the 200 or so bodies releaving them of the sticky and humid heat as they enter the cafeteria. A calming buzz of chattering voices full of excitement and joy fill the new building at lunch time. The relaxing pale green color painted on the walls surrounding all of us, helps to calm me and reckindles good memories from the summer time, bringing a smile to my face. Students, marching happily back from the lunch line with trays full of mouthwatering varieties wave hello to friends across the room. Noses perk up everywhere as a result of the delicious smells filling up the building. Booths and tables quickly fill up with eager and hungry students to join their friends. Conversations of the previous summer is the subject of everyone’s speeches. Laughing students, bringing a joyful auora to the cafeteria proving truth to the myth that laughing is contageous. Students relax while lounging their bodies across the comfortable couches, greatful for this break from class. Across the couches, a single student, sitting contently alone, finishgin up some homework, is thankful for the time he has during lunch to finish it up.
The piercing and chockingly freezing air conditioner hits the skin of about 200 cramped bodies as soon as they walk into the cafeteria, causing them all to shiver. Loud, obnoxious non-stop chattering and meaningless conversation fills the cafeteria at lunch time. The depressing pale green color paintes on the walls that we are all forced to look at, reminds us of summer, and how badly we wished to be somewhere else now. The buzzng of the students and color of the walls result in migraines for many students. Students stomping back from the never-ending lunch line carry trays full of unappetizing and nameless clumps of goop, the adminstration calls food.
