Executive Summary:
“CanGo is a fictional Internet startup that retails a variety of products and services, ranging from books and videos to online gaming services. CanGo brings into focus a variety of issues important to businesses in general, and particularly those engaged in the challenging world of e-commerce” (Report Guide, Overview of CanGo). The CEO and Founder of CanGo, is having difficulties because she is trying to describe the business formula. To achieve a ‘mission’, most companies start out with a strategic management to help create a business plan.
The members of CanGo are facing challenges about getting an online gaming system up and running and getting prepared for a record season. These projects involve a lot of organization. This is a problem CanGo is facing due to a team member not paying attention and not preparing to be organized. A great way of becoming organized is setting goals that would help establish standards to measure progress. Using a gnat chart would have helped to become organized during the gaming project.
A concern that CanGo is facing is that there is too much ‘button pushing’ required getting to the point of ordering or speaking to someone. We learned early in our evaluation of CanGo that this both frustrates customers and confuses them. There are several solutions that can be explored to assist in determining ways to shorten the series of choices customers have to use to get the answers they request.
