The main idea behind “Too Much of a Good Thing” is that carbon is something that is good in our life, but it’s not something we need too much of. If we didn’t have our atmosphere we would have a frozen earth. It is called the greenhouse effect, which keeps the heat energy from the sun inside the atmosphere keeping our weather warm. As said by Dr. Abby, “carbon dioxide is a pot hole for infrared radiation.” Carbon dioxide is good to us in a way because it helps the plants go through photosynthesis which enables them to give off oxygen for us to breathe in. carbon is one of our three major chemicals that are on this earth. Without it we wouldn’t be able to live a normal life, or even possibly, not be living. Carbon dioxide comes from almost everything that happens on earth. The bad type is the one exerted from the exhaust pipe from a car or from the trash that we litter out on the streets. On average we pump out over more than forty thousand pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year. Our earth is getting warmer because the carbon dioxide is thickening our atmosphere.
In my opinion I believe this is a good topic to talk about because we have been having a lot of issues lately with polluting our environment and polluting our air. We pollute our air by exerting carbon dioxide into the air from our exhaust pipes in our cars. I believe it is a good thing people are doing by buying more efficient cars that help out our environment instead of killing it. People should look into getting an environmental friendly car. For a man it must be hard getting one because they are cars that are mainly built for women. Everyone on this earth should contribute in some way, shape, or form. If we all help i wouldn’t doubt it that because of all of us helping at once it would get released.
