The Work Culture Preferences activity in my career plan was very interesting. The questions I was asked I never really considered before. After doing the Work Culture Preferences. I was a little surprised on the results because it showed that I do have more skills related in Expert, Supportive, and Well Resourced section. Expert; emphasis on specialist expertise and a lots of specialist roles. I am innovative and like a creative atmosphere. Supportive; secure, stable environment. I think everyone would like to work in a supportive atmosphere. Well resourced; I like a well- designed and comfortable workplace and I utilize necessary resources to do high standard work.
After exploring the resource in the Phoenix Career Services. I realized that there are resources that might become very useful such as the interviewing link where you can go and they provide you with help on conducting pre-interview research, preparing you for your first interview, and how to answer common interview questions. The Career Service site is also very beneficial to students as they are looking for a career. This site gives you the ability to make informed decisions on what kind of job you want with the job Market Research and Job Opportunity tabs. The resources in the Phoenix Career Choices are terrific tools for students to follow their career choices. With the extra help that is provided in job searching can make it easier to obtain employment in a new career. I can definitely see myself exploring the Career Choice resources more and utilizing them in my career search as much as possible.
The work Culture Preference I think are similar to my personal competencies assessment from week two in ways that they both relate to the fact I am the type of person who is very organized and like to maintain a safe and structured environment.
