Issues/Problem:
Serious lack of Vulnerability Trust
People are unable to share ideas with feeling put down
There is a lack of concern/care for group members
Lack of Common Goals
No clarity in team or personal goals
No clear set of consequences, rules or behavior
No conflict resolution method (with affects accountability/ open feedback)
Alternatives:
1. Set Group/Personal goals for Learning Group
a. Understanding group/ personal needs
i. Balance between answering case questions and reviewing course content
ii. Write down personal and group goals/concerns privately and then discuss and implement goals and fix concerns
b. We need to set clear expectations for consequences, rules, &behavior to decrease social loafing /hold team members accountable
i. Do not come to the group discussion if you are unprepared
ii. Bring clear preparation notes- lack of preparation= dismissal from group for the day
iii. In absence no access to group notes unless you send your preparation notes to the team.
iv. There needs to be group and personal evaluation
Con/pro: group members may feel attacked, but the pro is that they will understand the consequences and be less inclined not to participate
c. Allow for conflict: Do not shut down constructive conflict
2. Creating an Environment of Vulnerability Trust: Trust aids in common goal development
a. Group has high diversity and similarity, so need a team building activity to solidify understanding of team members
b. No laughing at/ undermining individual comments or concerns if we disagree we offer feedback and assistance
c. No Personal Attack conflicts (if we disagree do it respectfully so trust isn’t diminished)
d. Talk w/ Onyealisi and Delery about making group members feel their comments are irrelevant

We must learn to balance individual needs with group needs, so members will feel more commitment to the group. Having team members write down their group and personal goals in...
