ESSAY ”Celia behind me”
The short story is about a group of girls, but it’s mainly about two of the girls; Celia and Elizabeth. The girls are about nine years old, but Celia has failed once, and is therefore one class behind the others. Celia is always following the other girls, on their way home from school. As I briefly mentioned above, Elizabeth’s mother demands that her daughter treats Celia with respect and care . Of course this puts Elizabeth in a difficult situation. She now fells the pressure from both her mother and the friends. How should she react and treat Celia? Her mother will spank her in front of everybody if she will not do as told and the group of friends will turn their back on her and see her as Celia’s...
