 Censorship: Blocking Everyt**** in Today’s Society
Censorship is by far the biggest catalyst to the harmful behavior we are experiencing in our society today. It violates our rights as guaranteed in the first amendment, “Freedom of Speech”. It applies to what we are able to see, view or listen to as well and should not be taken from us. While censorship can protect people from certain harmful things, in overall, it is bad and should not occur because it takes away certain aspects of life that everyone should experience such as blocking ideas, opinions, and religious aspects. These are things missed in entertainment industries such in music, movies, internet and other Medias. School education is affected and for that students miss out learning certain things that have been removed for one reason or another. Also, the government censors the ability of people to find out what truly happens behind the scenes.
Censorship has many disadvantages but it also has several advantages. Some may argue that censorship is a way to keep people protected from ideas that seem too dangerous for the general public to be exposed to. This is understandable because the public, especially the children, can get exposed to offense or inappropriate things such as pornography. Also, viewing issues like racial hatred, terrorism and crime can make the viewer curious about the subject that is why censorship prevents sensitive topics from being seen by the public. However, censorship takes the decision of the individual, treating the public like they are incompetent to make decisions for themselves and realize what is good for them, diminishing the freedoms given to a person by the Freedom of speech.

Censorship in entertainment industries should not be needed. When it comes to music censorship, it creates a wall, preventing ideas to be able to flow freely. Music does not broadcast only for a particular audience, there are many people with different tastes in music....
