Chapter 3: Suddenly, I Became Me

Time went by so fast. I was walking at nine months and talking at thirteen month. My first word was mama. I know that had to suck for anybody that had to watch me because I like to talk. I didn’t really have a lot of birthday parties. We did most of my birthdays with just my family at my Grandma’s big Blue house. My first birthday party that I remember was at Discover Zone, it used to be behind the East Mall before the shut down the most fun place in the world. That place was filled with tunnels, slides, video games, and they had some bomb pizza. Only downfall of that place was that every time I went up through one of the tunnels somebody would always kick me in my stomach or they would hit me in the mouth when we were in the ball pit. I started pre-school when I was four and went half a day at this place called Noah’s Ark. Then when I turned five I went to Littles. I broke my first bone when I was three years old. It was like two in the morning and my cousin and I were outside riding bikes. My Mom and my God mama was sitting on the front porch. While I was riding down sidewalk I noticed that my reflector had broken. So I was still riding and I was looking down at the reflector trying to fix it. Next thing I knew it I fell off the bike onto the concrete and the bike was on top of me. My mom and my God mama take me to the hospital and tell told me that I broke my elbow. It was pretty funny because my mom told me that the doctors thought that she had beat me, because it was so late at night. Lol! That has been a memory that has stuck with me forever.
