Dear journal,

I’m Elizabeth Bennent. This is my first entry of my diary and I will be writing all of my feelings in here due to the fact that I have no one to share my feelings with. I have five sisters and my mother is trying to get all five of us married. A new bachelor named Mr. Bingley is coming to town soon because he has agreed to buy Netherland Fields. Mr. Bingley is suppose-ably very handsome and I already know he’s very wealthy. Mother believes Mr. Bingley will end up marrying one of us five sisters, although she thinks that I have something more to me than any of my other sisters.

Dear journal,

Father wants to call Mr. Bingley, but without Mother noticing because she will just make a fool out of herself. Of course, Mother was furious, but at the same time very happy that he got to know him. Today, Mother announced that Lydia will be the one to dance with Mr. Bingley at the ball coming up. I’m extremely excited to see what will happen at the ball.

Hopefully he will accept Mothers invitation to have dinner with us at our house in the next few days.

Dear Journal,

Today I found out that Mr. Bingley is having some of his family and friends come today and visit him, but it just turns out that it was his sisters, cousin and friend Darcy. Darcy is particularly more and handsome than Bingley and much richer too. Although, Darcy is much more of a snob than Bingley; he refuses to dance with any of the women at the ball as well. I also heard him say that I’m not pretty enough for...
