Child Behavior: Better or Worse?

Is child behavior worse than it was years ago? There are many factors that harm and benefit a child’s behavior. As a society, full of many different cultures, it is hard to determine whether the behavior of children has gotten better or worse. The many variants would make it difficult to evaluate and only extensive research will yield results. In my opinion, child behavior has worsened in today’s society because there are numerous of ever-changing advances in technology, parents are just not as strict anymore, and there are also various newly detected child behavioral disorders.
When I was a kid, very few people had computers or a laptop, let alone a cell phone. In the modern world most of everyone, including kids 5 & up, have some type of electronic device. Some people may think that children are now more connected to the outside world than ever. They are now the said to be the generation of technology. Each generation is smarter than the next but does this mean that the advancements in technology create bad behavior. In some cases, yes, because not all technology being watched is a good influence. With the advances in technology, everything has transformed for example the TV’s media/entertainment, the educational system, and even the beneficial role that adults play in children’s lives. According to Politilady.com, “electronic devices such as Xbox gaming consoles, I Pads, televisions, and even computers with internet access are distractions that could lead to bad behavior in children. Due to the negatives media production and entertainment, technology plays an important influential role in children.
Advances in technology would not affect children as much if parents were as strict as they were when I was growing up.
