Exploring Childhood Final Exam Essay
Block 3

Halloween Week
One of my favorite weeks out of Exploring Childhood Class would have to be the Halloween week. While doing Calendar time, we talked to the kids about Halloween. We had discussions about their favorite types of candy they would like to receive and what they were going to dress up as.
During the week of Halloween, we did a lot of fun educational games and activities such as goodie bags made out of decorated paper bags. The kids had fun cutting and putting them together. We also did candy corn races were the children were divided in to two groups and they raced with two spoons filled with candy corn. They had loads of fun with this activity. They got to do little competitions with each other; it helped them be more motivated and faster.
The children also participated in mini Halloween stations, which had which had the Frankenstein Beanie bag throw station, the three legged race, pin the pumpkin, and mummy rap station. They had a lot of fun doing all these different activities together. It really brought the kids together and they behaved well. They communicated much more with each other to do everything in these stations.

Each child’s development changes during the course by doing educational activities and also arts and crafts. This included activities to help each child grow more maturely and help there level of academic knowledge grow also. By having the children do arts and crafts it helps them learn much easier. They do stuff like how to use different objects in games and activities and how to color inside the lines, but most of all help there imaginations.
Kids such as Nico, progressed socially by talking and interacting with the other children, he also learned how to do more things more independently.
Cj really improved also socially with his speech, at the beginning teachers had trouble understanding his speech...
