Chisinau

Chisinau

My home town is Chisinau. It's one of the oldest cities in my country and it was founded around 600 years ago. Chisinau is also the capital of Moldova and this fact makes me feel even more proud to live in such a beautiful place! I would like to say that Chisinau is a very important historical center of my country. A lot of museums, theaters, universities and other architectural examples of it's old history are situated in here. But the amount of historical importance doesn't deny my it's modern aspects. There are a lot of squares, parks and boulevards filled with trees, grass, flowers and bushes.
Growing up here is a very pleasant experience, because of the amount of holidays that are celebrated during the year, a large number of great, kind, open and hospitable people and because there are a lot of interesting activities that are available here for children and teenagers. Chisinau has a lot of educational institutions that can be visited for self development and recreational purposes, and these opportunities were, of course, not missed by me! Especially memorable are the holidays linked to our national customs and traditions! Every holiday is celebrated in an own unique way which makes all the year very filled with different interesting stories and situations. Most popular holidays are Martisor (first day of spring), Wine day, Independence day, Easter and Christmas!
But Chisinau is not only a great place for it's citizens but for tourists as well! As a tourist you would be able to visit a lot of different places, meet a lot of kind hearted people and learn a lot of new things. At first you might visit the Center of the city, because it's the most saturated with places of interest part of the city. Right in the center of the city is situated the monument of Stephen the Great,...
