Cigarettes

I would start by making a thesis such as money is more important to corporate America, than the health of our children. This is shown by the item that are advertised to children, mostly cigarettes and alcohol. I would proceed by describing the add and talk about how it appeals to young people. The bright colors, the cartoon like figures on the cigarette boxes and the some time child like flavors. I would research the psychology behind advertising and tie this into my thesis. I would ask children what they thought of the add and put that information in the paper. I would tie this all together in a clever conclusion statement like if we continue to advertise harmful products to our children, we will have no children left to advertise to.

In this ad the show a Indian in a head dress on a cigarette box. Many of us when we think of Indians think of war party's and scalping, and severe aggression without causes. I would research Indian culture and life and try to show through research that the way we view people is more influenced by Hollywood than by actual facts. I would research history to determine if the image we have of native Americans is accurate.I would start by making a thesis such as money is more important to corporate America, than the health of our children.
