Country Life vs. City Life
There are many differences between country life and city life. If you live in the city and have never been to the country or you live in the country and have never been to the city, you may wonder what the country or city would be like. Country living is a quieter and slower pace from the frantic pace of the city.
In the country there are fewer people to interact with while in the city there are more people than you could possibly ever know. Privacy is an issue if you are surrounded by close neighbors. I’ve lived in and seen houses that are barley the width of 2 cars side by side apart. It feels like you could shake their hand from the window, let alone look straight in their house. In the country the only public transportation would be a school or church bus. In the city they have limos, taxis, buses, trains and some cities also have subways in addition to truck and automobiles. In the country you might have to slow down because of getting behind a tractor or other farm equipment going down the road to get from one field to another. In the city there are traffic jams that could last for quite some time.
Living in the country has peacefulness about it. It is usually more quite than the city unless it is spring time when they are getting fields ready for planting or harvesting the crops in the fall. The noise of the tractors and the various farm equipment takes some getting used to especially at 6am. Most of the time you can hear the birds chirping, the cows mooing and the roosters crowing. The evenings you can go to sleep with the sweet noises of the crickets chirping and the owls hooting. City living is noisy from all the cars, trucks, aircraft, sirens and more.
Life in the country has lots of open roads, rural areas and farm land. Country living is also less populated and has smaller towns. Being close to the stores, work and family and friends is one plus to...
