To further our conversation about opinions and paradigms, we are venturing into the realm of political theory. Before we start to take a look at what the conventional thoughts are, we are going to gain an understanding of the elements of political ideology by evaluating economic and social issues from our perspective.

I am a New Deal Liberal

2) What does that mean? (you will need to do a bit of research to find out)
New Deal Liberal means that the leaders seek to maximize individual liberty and wants changes for the country. Liberal issues include freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of the press, and also government provision of necessities seen as essential to freedom, such as education, health care, food, and shelter.

CENTRIST is a "middle ground" for government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.
