Do you know what the meaning of climate change is? Climate change is an alteration in the average weather that a given region experiences, and it refers to the build up of man-made gases in the atmosphere that trap the sun’s heat, causing changes in weather patterns on a global scale. There are several causes of climate change. I will mention three major causes: the industrial revolution, transportation, and polluting gases.
First, the industrial revolution was a dramatic change in the nature of production in which machines replaced tools, and steam and other energy sources replaced human or animal power, and skilled workers were replaced with mostly unskilled workers. During the industrial revolution, we began altering our climate and environment through changing agricultural and industrial practices. Before the industrial revolution, human activity released very few gases into the atmosphere, but now, through population growth, we are affecting the mixture of gases in the atmosphere.
Another major cause of changing weather is transportation. This problem starts when the cars are in a bad state of repair; therefore, they produce too much carbon dioxide, and this affects the environment to cause contamination. Today cars are much cleaner than they were 20 years ago, but our roadways are now much wider, and traffic is much heavier. Vehicles that use diesel increase exposure to dangerous pollution and contribute to global warming. For example, in many countries, there are many old cars in bad condition, which generates problems with the environment. For this reason, many people suffer from respiratory problems. Also, there are many cars that burn an oil and gas combination whose cost is cheap and contributes to the same problem to affect the environment. This problem would disappear if people used public transportation, electric cars and gave good maintenance to their cars.
Finally, another reason for climate change is pollution. This cause has increased the...
