This is a map to show which parts of the world have Mediterranean climates, there’s not a lot covered.

In the Mediterranean, there are a lot of hazards that people need to be aware of because of its climates. There are a lot of storms because of hot weather and this can be caused by electrical discharges. A lot of people get killed in Thunder and lightening, floods, droughts, and water loss because of the climate and weather systems. Water loss is very bad and so are droughts because you need water and rain to grow crops, and you need water to live. Water loss is caused by destructive weather ruining the reservoirs. There is a wind called Gregale that occurs in some parts of the Mediterranean. The Gregale is a notorious wind of the western Mediterranean which also blows across central parts of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a strong and cold wind from the north-east and occurs mainly in winter. It is most pronounced on the island of Malta, where it sometimes reaches hurricane force and endangers shipping, so this also affects global trading. In the Mediterranean you get some very extreme weather like Mediterranean tropical cyclones are an extremely rare weather phenomenon. These systems are a subject of some debate within meteorological circles whether they closely fit the definition of tropical cyclones, subtropical cyclones, or polar lows. Their origins are typically non-tropical, and develop over open waters under strong, initially cold-core cyclones, similar to subtropical cyclones in the Atlantic Basin. The Mistral is another Mediterranean condition and can cause a lot of damage to many things e.g. Houses.
