Club IT
Club IT has been set up to become the next popular club in the community which will provide ‘live music, DJ’s, dance space and refreshments’ and to cultivate a community of friends which ‘meets regularly’ (About Club IT, 2009). However, managing such a form of business like Club IT which faces tough competition from other clubs in the vicinity is not an easy task. In order to attract customers and increase market share, it is crucial for the organization to solve its business problems and implement new strategies. The evaluation of Club IT’s web site and interviews with some of the members shows that there are many areas in terms of IT and management which the organization can improve on to attract customers and increase competitive advantage.
Three main problems which Club IT must address are vital to the future of the organization’s success. The first problem to address will be to compete with other competitors in terms of efficiency. The second problem will be lack of an online ticketing function to allow the organization to sell tickets through its web site. The third problem will be the lack of resources to manage customer relations.
Before evaluating the problems and finding the solutions for the organization, a glance at the resources that are equipped will need to be done. First, Club IT currently has a web site which provides information on its products and services. In addition, the web site contains the employee portal which allows employees to keep track on any work status and manage processes such as making orders for the organization. Besides the owners, Ruben and Lisa, the organization also has a team of employees who help to keep the organization operating. An evaluation of Club IT’s cliental needs to be done before tailoring any effective solutions. The organization currently has a cliental of people who are young and IT savvy.
