SUBJECT: Compliance System Training
In planning for the upcoming release of the company wisde compliance system, it is necessary for a training seminar be held for all managers. Project Compsys will ensure this training happens before the release and that all participants are familiar with the system as well as the new policies associated. In order for Project Compsys to begin, we require any feedback you may have and your formal approval.
Through previous discussions and analysis, it was determined that a minimum of 10 hours would be required to accomplish the training objectives, and the best approach would be an in person, hands-on training at a centralized location. I have also been informed that you desire feedback concerning this new training format for use in future training efforts.
Project Compsys will:
• Create required training materials
• Secure centralized training location
• Assure manager attendance and participation
• Conduct training session
• Provide feedback
Within these objectives, manager attendance will be the most challenging. Managers need to be mindful of the importance and value of this training and with the possibility of providing incentives to guarantee their attendance. Understanding that the project team and you, as the project's sponsor, are obvious stakeholders in this venture, as well as the managers also have an investment in the overall success of this project, and involving them early in the planning process will help to instill a sense of ownership that will encourage participation (Marchewka, 2012).
The ultimate training goal of the project is for all managers to be equipped and ready to use the new platform when it is employed and be familiar with the new policies associated with the system. At the end of the day, the success of the project will hinge on the attendance and participation of all managers.
