Name: Richard McFarlane Date: February 17, 2009 Course: DVE-0010 Why I am in this class Wow English? English was not my favorite subject from high school and even now. I am mostly a Math person, more comfortable with figures and formulas. But still I can not escape from English, so I plan to deal with this weakness once and for all because it is impeding my achievements. As the name of the class suggest I am targeted to develop my English skills and usage. Therefore my full purpose of been in this class is to pursue this class as a first aid for my English weakness, it is a requirement to achieve my degree and to fortify my language use so I can project my self in a more profound manner. Communication is a critical factor in everyday aspect of life a necessity that can not be replaced by any other means. The weakness that I have been facing for some time now has been impeding me to succeed academically. This class will eminently strengthen my grammar and its usage in all its forms. This course in my view will build my essay skills also. It is a reality that supporting ones writing and speaking with factuality also known as objective communication is more powerful than basing ones output on feeling and emotion also known as subjective communication. The transition between subjective to objective communication is one of the great advantage of this course. In my belief of furthering my education I know this class will be of help to my English skill, to have a better foundation for the other English courses and with an inevitable effect of fortifying my language power. Because of the drive to quench my pursuits I am now determine to diligently fulfill all task and requirements of this course in order to achieve success. Making all the effort possible of my strength to keep keen and focus to succeed. Seeing a large amount of opportunity ahead of educated people makes me motivatedto pursue.
