Growing up in a household with a family that expected nothing but the best for me was a challenge with peer pressure, and the everyday life of being a black male in the city of Chicago. Although the challenges might have been tuff, I have overcome many obstacles in life that could have held me back. Which is why I consider myself driven, determined, and motivated. I have a drive to complete my bachelors degree and also my masters so that I can eventually start a career in the communications field, I am determined to do whatever it takes to be successful and make things happen for the better, and I am motivated to be a motivator and do whatever it is God has planned for me. Knowing that I have risen my GPA from a 2.0 to a 3.0 motivates me to do even better.
Since graduating high school, I have spent a lot of time working, meeting new people, networking, and gaining important knowledge that will help me succeed in not only my future career but also my everyday life. It has always been a goal of mine to continue to be an outgoing person with my great sense of humor and kind heart. Whether it makes me or breaks me, I know that I am being myself which makes me unique. People always tell me, "you like to talk, you know how to start and keep a good conversation going", which is why I decided to change my major from business to communications. I not only enjoy the entertainment industry but also enjoy communicating with others and understanding life from another persons perspective.
I appreciate the opportunity given to me from your institution as I continue/complete my education and focus on what I believe is a very important aspect in my life.
