COM 120 Effective Persuasive Writing
A thesis statement should be created for every academic paper you write. Often appearing at the end of a paper’s introduction, the thesis informs readers in a concise manner regarding your intention in writing the paper. The thesis statement should consist of one declarative sentence that summarizes the main idea of the essay in 25 or fewer words.

• Create four appropriate thesis statements for your Persuasive Essay topic by taking different positions on the subject. Indicate which thesis statement you will use for your essay. If you elect to use a topic for your paper that is not on the list, the topic must be approved by your instructor.
