Legal Considerations
The manual I am choosing to analyze is an EVGA Intelligent Innovation Graphics Card Installation Guide manual. For better understanding, it is a manual on how to install a PC graphics card.

I first checked for copyright and trademark law infringements and I was able to find none. In every instance of the EVGA writers using a recognized brand name, it is clearly marked with a ® or a ™ directly after the brand name. Here is evidence directly from the manual proving this: “Our graphics accelerator cards are fully compatible with the latest 2D and 3D graphical requirements with full support for Microsoft® DirectX®, DirectDraw®, and DirectShow®, Direct3D®, and OpenGL®.” This manual appears to use no source of anyone else’s work and the entirely manual is developed by EVGA writers. I then checked for contract law breaks and holes and identified only one problem. The manual list that the product is covered by a Lifetime Warranty Program. In order to read the full details of this program one must visit a website that they have listed in the manual. It is there they fully list out the terms of the warranty in which EVGA will replace any defective card free of charge. They clearly state that in order to receive this warranty the customer must register the product on the website. The problem I see is the warranty is limited, but I cannot find where they list out the limitations of the warranty. EVGA most likely does have the terms listed out some where; I am just having trouble finding it. They do provide a phone number for contact to have any questions concerning warranties though. Upon analyzing the manual for liability laws, I found none. There is not a single paragraph in this manual that states EVGA’s liability for any injuries caused by the product or damages inflicted upon the product. This is obviously a big problem is the liability laws need to be clearly defined and easy to find for consumers. This is my main suggestion to them. Adding...
