 Out of a multitude of videos on youtube, I was able to find one commercial that may seem very innocent to one who doesn’t look deep into it. It is the AT&T commercial that has a grown man sit down on a floor mat in a circle with kids, and then asks them a very simple question ‘who thinks more is better than less’? and the inevitable brutal honesty of kids is shown as the little girl goes on and on about how more is better than less in a very adorable manner. She pours out her heart about how much she would always want to have more when she enjoys something.
As a giant of the telecommunication industry, AT&T shows why it has lasted for over a century as it fights relentlessly to stay relevant to people and their daily lives. After going decades and almost monopolizing the telecommunication industry, they faced big competition when cellular phones hit the markets and stepped up the challenge. AT&T didn’t do just enough to stay alive, they did enough to retain their giant status in the industry. One of the main ways that businesses are able to stay attracting new customers while keeping old ones is to have the best of services at the lowest possible cost. This commercial has a simple goal of informing people that AT&T has the largest 4g coverage in America. As a country that has managed to keep up with the rest of the world technologically and also as a country that consumes a lot of data, the simple knowledge that one can have her/his devices fully empowered with the help of AT&T.
The commercial successfully targeted everyone in this commercial, considering that kids in this era are technologically sound at a very early age it is safe to say that this commercial was aimed at anyone who is above the age of 5. In the commercial we see four kids that represent a variety of races; one of them is an Asian male kid, the other is a black male kid (some may say mixed), the other two are white girls, and then the gentleman in the commercial is a white male that...
