. Technological advancements continually revolutionize society on a daily basis, virtually getting to the point where the future will be overwhelmed with technology. In an article “Technology addiction’s contribution to mental wellbeing: The positive effect of online social capital” states “According to the Pew Research Internet Project over 87% of Americans use the Internet, with an additional 90% owning cellphones and 58% owning smartphones (Fox & Raine, 2014)”. With such a high percentage of people this represents what our civilization has become and the technology use among individuals now a days. More articles idealize this same concept, technology overtaking our lives as adults and the influence it has on our children. “Unplug—Don't Drug: A Critical Look at the Influence of Technology on Child Behavior With an Alternative Way of Responding Other Than Evaluation and Drugging” points out “The detrimental effects technology use on critical milestones for child development” This need to distract our children with devices demonstrates a disconnection parents are allowing their children to have from the world outside technology, hindering their developmental social skills and psychological well-being. Children get exposed to technology at an adolescent age simply because parents let technology take over. Since technology attempts to make lives easier there arises the issue whether it is always, never, or contextually right or wrong to invent and implement a technological innovation for all society’s problems.
