My computer is a HP Paviliong7 Notebook PC. I recently purchased it at the end of August. This laptop offers more options along with faster speed than my previous computer. It is not as nice or fancy as a Mac, but it does a perfect job for my school and personal needs. The laptop currently has Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium edition as the operating system. I have considered upgrading to Windows 8, but I am undecided as of today on whether to upgrade or stay with the Windows 7. The display is an AMD Radeon HD 7520G with a 17.1” display. My type of Central processing unit (CPU) is i3-2350M Intel Core Processor. The laptop has 4GB of random access memory (RAM). The input devices are the keyboard, mouse, webcam, and the pointing device. The output devices are the ports for the USB drives and cables in order to attach the computer to a monitor or a projector to show the images for a PowerPoint presentation or larger viewing media options. The types of storage offered on the C drive (hard drive), D drive (hard drive), and E drive (CD-ROM). Another type of storage is available through a portable hard drive which can be attached through a USB port.
The elements from the above mentioned information as compared to a new, top of the line computer laptop has several differences. The top of the line as mentioned on the PCWorld website is the Lenovo IdeaPad Y580. One of the main differences is the cost of this PC is $1,099.00, and the HP was $498.99. This computer offers pros and cons; the pros include: powerful graphics and processor, the cons include: it is heavy and has a short battery life.
