Conspiracy theories can not be taken lightly. They are used to make dictators appear more virtuous than they really are. Really, a conspiracy theory is just a bunch of lies to try and cover up the truth.
For example in the assassination of John Kennedy nobody knows who really committed the crime because dictators used multiple suspects to make the assassinator unknown to the public. All the public really knows is that Kennedy died in Dallas, Lee Harvey Oswald was in the book depository, Jack Ruby killed Oswald, and that Oswald had lived in the Soviet Union for a time, but the public doesn’t really knows whether it was the Mafia, the KGB, Fidel Castro, anti-Castro Cuban exiles, the CIA, Lyndon Johnson, people who feared that Kennedy would pull American forces out of Vietnam, or if it was any of these that assassinated Kennedy.
The murder of Princess Diana is also considered a conspiracy theory. Nobody really knows what happened with her. All the public knows is that her and her fiancé, Dodi Al Fayed, a Muslim, were in the back seat of Diana’s Mercedes that slammed into a pillar in the Alma tunnel. Again all the public knows is what the dictators have told them; the driver’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, and that he was travelling at speeds over 160 kilometers an hour. But because it was Princess Diana and not just an average person the public thinks that her death was planned and now it has become a conspiracy theory based on simple facts like the fact that Diana was going to marry a muslim and the royal family couldn’t handle the that fact, that he was a Muslim.
So put simply a conspiracy theory can not be taken lightly. There are too many lies and too many stories that no one person can really believe what the media is telling them.
