Why do sites allow the posting of other peoples copyrighted material?
The persistent abuse of materials is damaging to both those learning and those trying to teach.
Sites like this should have more rigorous checks in place to ensure that items posted do no infringement the copyright or IP of others.
Copyright owners and their agents should not have to continually police the issue. Spending hours trudging through pages and pages of illegally posted items that are clearly copyrighted and highlighted as such is a waste of valuable resources that could be better directed at delivery quality teaching.
Why do students feel the need to post these items anyway? Surely there's enough competition in the jobs market without sharing materials that you've paid for either through course fees or by purchasing directly. All you are doing is demonstrating a lack of respect for the teachers, school and original authors and demonstrating that you are quite happy to blatantly flout international copyright laws.
