The playground is a place for children to run free and expand their imagination. It is an asylum where kids should feel safe and sound. At Re-Tired our focus is to reach out into the community focusing on schools, cities, homeowners, private property owners, and businesses with play structures particularly those oriented with children; to create a fun and safe environment. In addition our aim is to make the community a safer, more eco-friendly place to live.
The purpose of our cooperative business is to provide greater benefits to the members such as increasing a member's way of living by providing important needed services. So that’s exactly what we intended to do when we started Re-Tired. Beginning with a simple need we took a small idea, and transformed it into something big for our community. Kids, teenagers, and adults no matter the age, seem to love playing outside under the warm Texas sun. In our town we ran into one small problem, the terrain.
Parks and running trails all over the city seemed to have been almost always vacated. The reasoning behind this was that it was simply too dangerous for the kids and even the older generations to play or enjoy the outdoors. You could hardly run through a park or on a trail without falling down, getting scraped up or even sustaining a serious injury from tripping on rocks or stepping in pot holes. We offer a solution that proved to be quite successful and environmentally friendly; tires.
The use of tires is an idea we stumbled upon while trying to find a material that was safe, effective and environmentally friendly.
