Simulation of Terrestrial Impact Craters

[pic]

Objective:

The objective of this experiment is to determine if the parameters of low velocity impact craters obey power laws, and to study the formation of craters by comparing the size of crater formed with the size and impact velocity of the celestial object.

Assumption:

Acceleration is constant, and air-resistance is negligible since the mass used is small, and the impact velocity that is attained is relatively small.
