The Question on Why that Has Changed My Perception of How the World Function
How do you explain when things do not go as we assume? Or better, how do you explain when others are able to achieve things that seem to defy all of our assumptions? For example, why is Apple so innovative? Year after year, after year, after year, they seem to be more innovative then all their competitors and like the rest of them, they are just another computer company. They are just like everyone else. They have the same access, the same talents, the same agencies, the same consultants, and the same media. Then, why is it that they seem to have something different? Another instance, why is it that Martin Luther King led the Civil Rights Movement? He was not the only man who suffered in the division of rights in America and he certainly was not the only great author of the day. Why him? Another one to consider, why is it that the Wright brothers were able to figure out Control-Powered Flight when there certainly were other teams who were better qualified and were well funded? Even so, they still did not achieve Powered Flight; the Wright brothers beat them to it. I believe there is something else at play here, something different that we are dealing with.
Two years ago, after completing the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM), I eagerly wanted to learn about business. I was intrigued by the idea of a start-up and I was already aspiring to be an entrepreneur. Somehow, I felt compelled to take up a job to learn more about the industry. After much searching, I went for a job interview at the United Business Media (UBM) office located at the heart of the city.
