Critical Thinker
Many people in this world are consider to be critical thinkers by others. A critical thinker is able to judge the quality of something and be open-minded about it. Critical thinkers possess elements such as identifying the conclusion, clarifying arguments, establishing facts, evaluating logic, and having a final evaluation. Critical thinkers are also able to approach issues by being confident, organized, analytical, unbiased, and sees things from different perspectives. Some critical thinkers allow plural truths, question many things, and are comprehensive. I consider my mom a critical thinker because she possesses this elements and skills such as thinking before acting, has good communication, is understandable, etc.
My mom is a teacher at an elementary school, and as a teacher, she has to be able to tell her students what they did wrong in their work without bringing their self-esteem down. This is when she uses the skill of thinking before acting. She thinks what she is going to tell her students before she actually tells them what they did wrong, so that the next time they will not make the same mistake. Another skill my mom uses almost the whole time is communication. As a teacher, she has to be able to have good communication, not only with her students, but also with other teachers that work at the same school as her. My mom is also very understandable. For example, if one of her students does not do their homework because of a personal reason, she understands and lets the student turn in the work another day.
As we all know, teachers always have to be very organized. I consider my mom a critical thinker because she approaches things by being organized. She always keeps her lectures organized so when she goes to class she knows exactly what she is going to teach her students for the day.
